An Actual Halo Game Comes to Steam

WAT

I didn’t think big daddy Xbox or mommy Microsoft allowed such things, but I guess it’s happening. As of April 20th the power couple is allowing their fourth child to go over to the Steam house next door and play.

The Xbox and RTS classic Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is now available on steam available for purchase at 20$. While the game was already available on PC, it was only through bundling of Halo Wars 2, but now it has split off into it’s own purchasable game.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of the original Halo Wars that runs natively on Xbox One and Windows, featuring improved graphics, additional Achievements and includes all of the DLC created for the classic real-time strategy game.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title where your digital purchase of the game on the Xbox Store or Windows Store includes the other version at no additional cost.

RTS fans on Steam will be excited to know that Halo Wars: Definitive Edition includes full support for Steam Achievements as well as a server browser, where anyone can create and host a game for others to search and join.

So how about it? Put down Halo Wars 2 and go back 8 years and pick up a “new” game ! Now here’s a nice trailer quickie to send you off on your way.  Also, stay tuned right here at A Bad Password for sloppy seconds as more details are expected to come in a few days.
