I’m sure I’m not the first one to discuss just how amazing the new graphics for Injustice 2 truly are. Move over Marvel, you may have the advantage when it comes to movies, but DC has certainly supplanted itself as the master when it comes to video games.
With DC’s latest release we can truly see just how far graphic design in video games have come, and what better way to showcase it then to integrate it in with some of the most beloved characters in fiction? Not only does Injustice 2 showcase some of the greatest graphics for any game on the PS4, it truly sets the standards on what we can truly expect in the future of gaming.
Not only is this game complete and total eye candy for the player, but it also has a great storyline and funny and witty characters and you have the making of not only one of the best games of the year, but quite possibly one of the best games for years to come.
We have seen great graphics in video games before, and of course, we should expect graphics to continue to get better as time goes on. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t those landmarks in every medium that we can look back to and say that’s where it all started. Even if that installment wasn’t the first to utilize the change, it can be noted as being the staple of it.
What Injustice 2 has done is set the precedent of what we can expect in future games in regards to graphics. From now on developers will look to mimic and utilize the 1080 p and 60 fps. Muck like James Cameron’s Avatar set the standard for modern CGI and 3D, Injustice 2 has landmarked itself as being at the forefront of video gaming graphics. And it’s only going to get better from here.
