After Almost Two Years Undertale Comes to Console

E3 2017 had a lot of new gameplay reveals as well as some new big game announcements. This year appears to be a year of remakes and even console ports with Undertale coming to PS4 and Vita for the first time. The indie rpg originally came out on PC, September 15, 2015. It was a bittersweet moment seeing the trailer right before PlayStation’s press conference. Undertale is a great game with quirky, lovable characters and a lot of humor. The game gets pretty emotional with a lot of ways your acts change the dialogue and story of the game. However, the game quickly became popular and overly hyped up which ruined it for a lot of people. In fan’s excitement for the game, the many secrets and surprises the game has to offer, may have been spoiled. Point is, I know a lot of people that do not like this game because of the fanbase. I even grew a bad taste in my mouth for the game because of hype. Hype can ruin a pretty nice video game, man! Even the comments on the trailer were full of people hating on the fanbase.

So that’s the bitter part of the trailer, the sweet part is that it’s finally coming to console and not just that. The game will have a hard copy version which does not always happen with these indie games. The physical copy also has a collector’s edition which comes with a story book and heart shaped locket that plays a song from the game. It’s pretty sweet! The game has a lot of things to love about it and now newcomers can experience it on console. There’s also the feature to play the game in multiple languages, so now even more people can experience it. It is definitely a game worth checking out!
