After it received a visually upgraded port to IOS and Android devices back in December, Apollo Justice Ace Attorney, also known as Ace Attorney 4, will be coming to 3DS using the same visual upgrades. This news comes after the game was leaked to be coming to 3DS by a the South Korean media ratings who also leaked the announcement of the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, another Capcom game. The game will launch for $20 (other regions prices have yet to be confirmed) in November.
Apollo Justice was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2007 and is the 4th game in the series. It takes place several years after the events of the first trilogy which don’t feature as long of a time skip between each instalment. This 3DS version features updated visuals in the same style of Ace Attorney Trilogy, which collected the first three games and gave them all a visual upgrade. The feature to skip dialogue has also been added as well as the ability to switch between Japanese and English versions of the game which feature different background art and text.
With the addition of this game to the 3DS eshop, the 3DS is now home to every Ace Attorney game ever made excluding the two ‘Investigations’ spin-offs which can still be played on the 3DS anyway through backwards compatibility. That is, if you live in Japan. Here in the west, we are still awaiting English versions of Investigations 2 and the more recent, Great Ace Attorney 1 and 2. These games may never see release in the west but we’ll be sure to let you know if they are. What do you think of Apollo Justice coming to 3DS though? Are you excited?
